EDUCATION SYSTEM : The reality in 21th century

Assalamualai’kum to all the readers.

Education is the main part in campus life. Inversely, there is no campus will exist if education is not important.

Education system in university consists of three main part which are students, lecturer and system (read: subject being offered, administration, students affairs). This three main part are related to each other to make the system in university achieved the goals.

Nowadays, from the view, we can see that our university is going to “produce” a future leader, future engineer, future technologist, future architect and many more future developer for our belive world. But in real life, is that really?

The answer is yes. But today, the world desire more from us. It is not enough if we become intelect, clever, creative, got Dean’s list and what-ever-award, but if we lost the “human being value”, the intelect will become intelectualess, the clever people can become stupid, the rich can become arrogant and many more worst situations.

How this situations relates to this topic? What is the relevants?

What burden in the writer’s mind right now is about how education system in university/campus/colleges constitute the student to become educated and at the same time, also can become a good human being. It can be said that the graduates students must be the one who has an excellent result for their academics and excellent attitude as well.

Today, the world are going to die with the bad manner from our politicians, leaders and educated persons. Not all, but a few of them shows how sicks our education system it is. Is that because of the secularism in our education system? Or is it because of our education systems is an exam-oriented? God knows best.

As the readers can you realize the situations like a policeman or a lawyer takes a bribe from the criminal? Or the politicians that use others people money for their own sakes? Do you can see the “product” from our education system? Ask youself. It is all in your head.

The conclusion is, the government should do something for our education system. Maybe they can re-organize the system with better teaching methodology and involve various pedagogy. Make the students to walk out from the campus with the good result in their hands and with the good piety in their hearts. Insya-Allah.

Is It The Place to Show Off..?

Fashion is the style and custom prevalent at a given time. Most of people either workers or students use to become fashionable. But for students is it relevant to wear it in campus? For us, the answer is "yes, they can be fashionable but they must wear clothes that represent themselves as a student".

Nowdays it can be seen most of the students wearing clothes as they want to go to shopping mall or having a vacation. Can you imagine how is the situation? They use to become fashionable but not exactly at the right time and place. Wearing something that not illegal in campus is not allowed. Acting like celebrities is not the way how students should be because we as a student already knew that only a proper attire is allowed in campus. Everybody have to be more consider with this situation. Being fashionable is not wrong but it has to be suitable and not too much. It does not matter what fashion you want to fits in but for sure it should looks proper and nice.

So come on guys, we need to be more alert with this situation because people might judge us from the first impression. The way we wearing clothes not only represent our appearance but intense as well.

14 WEEKS Vs 18 WEEKS

Which is more suitable? 14 weeks or 18 weeks study period? Many university and institution nowadays prefer to follow IPTA’s academic system which take 14 weeks time. For private institutions like us, 14 weeks studying time is not very suitable.

The main reason is because, UniKL is hands-on teaching university and is not just based on theoretical but in practical also. So we need more time to complete our syllabus. In IPTA, the students are only expert in theory while in practical part, they just have a demonstration by their technician. This is why they can complete their syllabus during 14 weeks time. We admit that most IPTA are well established and popular with their achievement but UniKL also have it's own quality that make us as success as IPTA.

We need to take this issue more seriously in order to maintain our quality as one of the institution that have productive engineers and technologist wannabe. We must have our own identity same as our tagline “Where Knowledge Is Applied”. So we need to prove that the knowledge and skills that was learned can be applied to the industry later on by UniKL engineers and technologist. That is why we need 18 weeks academic calendar in order to have enough time to complete our labs, tests, quizzes and assignments. Then only we can scores well and get better CGPA for every semester. InsyaAllah.

WHO'S FAULT?

As a student, results play as important role. Some of us get excellent grade while others did not. Why this situations keep on happening? Is it because we lacked in doing exercises? Do we eat too much junk foods or maybe we do not totally understand what the lecturers have thought. Either in private or government university, there are a few students that cannot complete their studies. It can be estimated around 30%of student failed to graduate and the other 60% graduate with honor while the remain 10% graduate with honor with excellent CGPA.

There are many ways need to be taken in order to fix this terrible situation. Through this, the percentage of good quality inside every students can be increase. More communication between student and lecturer can be apply to overcome this problem other than attend every classes and tutorial. Besides, we need to find extra references from variety sources such as library or internet. However, lecturer also need to pay extra attention in student's performance and help them to improve their results. All this can only be effective if the student itself responsible of their own study.So all student should learn from their mistake and turn the scar into a star.
